About poet James Zimmerman:
A frequent Pushcart Prize nominee, James K. Zimmerman's work appears in Chicago Quarterly Review, Folio, Lumina, Pleiades, Rattle, Reed, Salmagundi, and many other journals and anthologies. His poetry is also featured on websites such as The Poetry Foundation and American Life in Poetry. Author of five books – most recently “The Further Adventures of Zen Patriarch Dōgen,” “Uncertainty,” and “Unbroken Circle, Unending Thread,” he values his neurodivergence as an essential wellspring of his creative inspiration.
About poet Jasmin Rivas:
Jasmin Rivas is a Puerto Rican mother, writer/poet and the President of Jaz-Yoga/Health and Wellness living in Southbridge, Massachusetts who believes writing gives voice to the experiences of the people she advocates for and the things she cannot forget. She was recently published in her first anthology, ELLA Poderosa: Poderosa voices, deeply rooted in strength, rising in unity, shaping legacies and inspiring the next generation, along with 19 other Latina writers. As the first Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access at Old Sturbridge Village, Jasmin co-wrote, produced and directed the first BIPOC Historical Theater Project titled, “The Not So New New Englanders” presented at the museum. She was recently selected to be part of the Assets for Artists Worcester Capacity Building Cohort Program where she will receive individualized, artist-centered professional development along with other creative individuals from Worcester County. Jasmin holds a bachelors in English from Worcester State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Bay Path University. She is currently working to publish her memoir essay and poetry collection.
