We will teach you how to turn old T-shirts into cute and fashionable tote bags!
Did you know that every year, people in the United States throw out more than 34 billion pounds of used textiles? Most of this ends up in landfills where it can take over 200 years to decompose. Learn more about sustainable fashion and the steps you can take to reduce fashion waste, while making your own upcycled T-shirt tote.
*You can bring your own T-shirt(s) to recycle but we will have some available if you don't have your own. While supplies last.
This workshop is funded and run by the Audre Lorde Transformative Arts School (ALTAS) program., as part of their Arts & Change projects.
