The Cyber Safety Program is a community-centered initiative designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to stay safe online.
This program focuses on digital literacy, scam prevention, and protecting personal information across online platforms. The goal is to create safer, more informed digital citizens and reduce vulnerability to online threats in underrepresented populations.
Participants will learn how to:
• Identify and avoid common online scams, including phishing, spoofing, and social engineering.
• Practice safe browsing habits and recognize secure websites.
• Protect their digital identity and devices using tools like two-factor authentication, privacy settings, and tracking protection.
• Use phones and social media more safely, including understanding the risks of oversharing and how online data can be misused.
• Report scams and get help through platforms like IC3.gov, the Attorney General’s office, and local authorities.
