Performance and instruction involving the traditional Brazilian martial art featuring our friends from the Mass Capoiera Cultural Center.

Capoiera is a tradtional Brazilian martial art that has Afro-Brazilian roots. It was developed and created by enslaved people as a form of resistance. Capoiera draws heavily on incorporating movements from dance, acrobatics, ju-jitsu, gymnastics, breakdancing, kickboxing, and other forms of movement and self expression. Come join us for movement, fun, and friends with the Mass Capioera Cutltural Coalition an organization that focuses on teaching and preserving this self defense technique.
