Swap gently-used items, miscellaneous goods, homewares and more for FREE stuff that’s “new to you!”

Swap out gently-used items, miscellaneous goods, and homewares for free “stuff” that’s “new to you”!  Trade, household objects, basic electronics, office supplies, assorted trinkets, miscellaneous items, and more. Browse and choose items for free; participants do not need to donate or brings items to participate in the swap. All are welcome! 

The goals of the Stuff Swap are to exchange items sustainably, offer our community access to general items at no-cost, and to keep useful items out of landfill.

Donations may be dropped off prior to the event Wednesday - Friday, January 28 - 30 during Library Hours and/or during the event on Monday, February 2nd from 4-7pm at the Frances Perkins Library branch. 

We can accept one box or armful or 'stuff'.  Library staff may refuse donations that do not fit criteria.

New and/or gently-used, clean condition objects are appropriate to swap including:

  • Homeware, cookware, dishes
  • Small electronics
  • Books, toys, games
  • Clothing, shoes, accessories (in a bag or box)
  • Office and craft supplies  

Damaged, broken, dirty and/or hazardous materials should not be swapped. Large items (with dimensions greater than 2 feet) cannot be swapped. We cannot accept: 

  • Trash / recyclables
  • Furniture
  • Large electronics
  • Used linens, towels, or other textiles
  • Items bigger than 2 feet in any dimension

After the swap, remaining items will be donated to Worcester-area organizations.
