What could be better than new plants? Come to the Frances Perkins Library and learn how to winter sow native seeds, to increase biodiversity next summer at your home or business. The Worcester Native Plant Initiative will share a technique called winter sowing, allowing the New England native seeds to germinate during the cold winter months so that you will have small plants to beautify your garden or porch next July. Open to everyone 12 and up. Participants are instructed to bring two empty translucent gallon milk or water jugs. Worcester Native Plant Initiative will supply a variety of seeds and the Library will supply the rest of the materials.
