Join us for this fun, fast-paced improv game in which three authors will brainstorm on their feet to create a new mystery, using suggestions from the audience!
Carol Goodman Kaufman: Trained as an industrial/organizational psychologist and criminologist before evolving into a full-time writer, Carol has published in multiple genres and formats, including one nonfiction book, three children’s picture books, two newspaper columns, and five short stories. She also hosts the podcast “Murder We Write” in which she interviews fellow crime writers. Her first novel, The First Murder, was released in 2024.
Janet Raye Stevens: writes short stories and novel-length mystery, YA, and romance. Winner of RWA's 2018 Golden Heart Award, Janet lives in Massachusetts where she indulges her hobbies of drinking copious amounts of tea (Earl Gray, hot) plotting revenge (best served cold), and creating fictional worlds populated with cool chicks and hot guys.
Wendy Tyson: is an author, lawyer, and former therapist who lives in the Green Mountains of Vermont. As Wendy Tyson, she has written the popular Greenhouse Mystery Series and the Allison Campbell Mystery Series. Under the pen name Liv Andersson, she writes psychological thrillers, including LITTLE RED HOUSE and LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON, and as Ayla Rose she writes the cozy Hummingbird Hollow B&B Mystery Series, the first of which, MURDER ON DEVIL'S POND, releases in July 2024. When not writing, Wendy enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, sons, and the family’s three dogs
