This book club is open to teens and their older family members (parent, aunt/uncle, grandparent, older siblings) or guardian!
Our goal is to bring different generations of readers together around the same book and to create space for conversations beyond the usual "what did you do in school today?" Each reader will have a different background and perspective to share that will hopefully bring family members closer together. We are excited to get to share great books with you and your family! Our Teen Services Librarian has picked a mix of YA titles that have been published recently and some that your older family members may have read when they were a teen!
Each month we'll meet to discuss a specific book, click here for the list of books. Please try to have the book read prior to the meeting. Copies will be available to check out (with your library card) from the Teen Space the month before the meeting, or you can use our booklist here to put a copy on hold with your library card. Don't forget to check out Libby or Hoopla for eBook and audiobook formats!
Open to teens aged 12-18 and their adult guardians/parents/siblings. No one over 19 without being accompanied by someone aged 12-18 will be admitted, but teens without adults are welcome.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED (you'll need to register for each month separately). Please make sure to register each person attending the book club meeting so we know how many people to expect.
