A gardening storytime series over the summer with REC Worcester.
Children ages 4-10 are invited to a series of Gardening Storytimes with REC Worcester. Each week we will read nature themed stories, sing songs, learn about the garden, and work on engaging crafts together: all outside, weather permitting! Should there be any extreme weather, we will host the program inside. While supplies last.
The Regional Environmental Council (REC) operates the Worcester School Gardens Network. The goal of the School Gardens program is to increase access to and use of garden spaces and garden related education for students, educators, and families. This is done through providing direct resources, offering garden programming, and working with schools to build partnerships and support volunteer engagement with a view towards long term sustainability of their garden projects.
Thank you to our summer reading sponsors: Bob's Discount Furniture, Cornerstone Bank, Country Bank, Price Chopper Golub Foundation, UniBank, and Walmart.
