Celebrate Banned Books Week! Browse a selection of banned books, join us for a read-in with light refreshments, write a postcard to your legislator, and screen print a tote bag to take home.
Representatives from the Massachusetts chapter of Authors Against Book Bans will be on hand to discuss Freedom to Read legislation and the impact of book challenges in Massachusetts.
All ages welcome.
Before the event, there will be a screening of the documentary The Librarians (2025, not rated) and conversation with WPL Director Jason Homer from 1 - 3 pm.
